Admissions Information

The admission requirements ensure you’re well-prepared for the rigors of our program while recognizing the diverse paths that lead to a career in accounting.

Master in Professional Accountancy prerequisites:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a subject other than accounting from an accredited institution.

  • Two years of relevant, full-time work experience.

  • Completed Principles of Financial Accounting, Introduction to Financial Accounting, or the equivalent (Note: Applicants without this prerequisite can be provisionally admitted before completing this course. UGA will offer ACCT 2101E the summer before you begin the MPAcc program.)

  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Current résumé
  • A one-page statement of purpose
  • Payment of application fees

We do not require GMAT or GRE scores for admission to the Master of Professional Accountancy program.
