Program Description

With a growing emphasis on effective communication skills, guiding students to excel in academic writing is essential. The Certificate in Teaching College Writing (CTCW) offers a pragmatic, career-oriented curriculum tailored to today's professionals. Emphasizing an interdisciplinary approach, students will gain proficiency in writing, teaching, and communicating professional and public writing techniques across digital platforms.

This fully online Graduate Certificate in Teaching College Writing is an 18-hour program for anyone who desires to teach writing at the college level. The curriculum is taught in 8-week sessions and provides expertise in effective writing instruction, especially for first-year students.
