Bachelor of Science in Human Services
Program Description
The Bachelor of Science in Human Services can be completed on-campus or in an online format. Students will first complete the required core pre-courses before entering into the program. Prior college credit may fulfill some of these pre-course requirements. After completing the pre-courses, the student will enter into the human services curriculum, which can be completed in two years or less. Students will complete an internship in the area of human services- approved by their advisor. A bachelor degree in Human Services might result in employment in the areas of: community outreach, social and community service management, family advocate, counselor, case manager, etc.
Additional Program Notes
Usually a minimum of 1-2 proctored examinations per class are required. This can be done through a local testing center or via ProctorU for a small fee.
Admissions Information
Interested individuals will first need to apply to Gordon State College and send their official transcripts (from every college they have
attended) to admissions@gordonstate.edu. Upon acceptance, an advisor will contact the student to discuss any transfer credits and create a degree plan based upon the needs of the student.
