Program Description

The PBIS Certificate features a three-part series of courses designed to acclimate and educate the practicing educator in the concepts, research, and issues surround implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), an evidenced-based framework for solving student behavioral issues through proactive and positive behavior management, at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels. The second course in the series focuses on PBIS at the classroom level, while the final course focuses on an examination of PBIS interventions with students at the Tier III level as well as models of behavior support programs.
