Program Description

The Master of Management Information Systems (MMIS) program at Georgia College has been awarding quality degrees since 1989. The MMIS degree is designed to prepare students for a position in designing, implementing and managing corporate information resources or serving as a liaison between a functional area and a centralized IT office. The curriculum aligns with the required knowledge for the Certified Information Systems Auditor exam, making the MMIS degree a smart choice for individuals interested in a career in IT auditing as well. This 30-semester hour degree program offers courses in an online asynchronous/synchronous format so students get face-to-face class time through WebEx along with the flexibility of online sessions.

Admissions Information

To be considered for admission, a student must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, GMAT or GRE scores or an approved GMAT/GRE waiver. A GMAT/GRE waiver may be awarded if an applicant meets at least one of the following criteria: 1) A prior advanced degree from a regionally accredited institution, 2) A minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA in a business major from an AACSB accredited institution, 3) Significant, full-time professional work experience
