Ed.S. School Counseling
Program Description
Graduates from the School Counselor Education Specialist (Ed.S.) program demonstrate advanced knowledge, skills, technical competencies, and dispositions to function proficiently as school counselors in the 21st century, refining the knowledge and skills they already possess as practicing school counselors. Many of the graduates of this program seek to be licensed as Professional Counselors and earn doctorates in their field.

Admissions Information
1. master's degree from a CACREP accredited School Counseling program
2. renewable S-5 certificate in School Counseling
(Other counseling degrees can see S-5 certification through FVSU's master's in School Counselor Education.)
