Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Reading Endorsement
Program Description
The reading endorsement consists of three courses that extend teachers’ knowledge and skills in the area of literacy. Candidates examine best practices for fostering literacy in schools, implementation of these practices in classrooms, and the research upon which they are founded. Candidates will assess and analyze student data, implement culturally responsive literacy practices within authentic contexts, plan for remediation for students experiencing literacy difficulties, and communicate results with stakeholders.
Admissions Information
General Admissions Requirements / Information:
Current teaching certificate. Must be level 4 or higher induction, standard professional, advanced professional or lead profession teaching certification
Application Requirements:
- Online application through the Office of Academic Admissions
- Official transcripts for all prior colleges
- Copy of current teaching certificate
- Criminal Background Consent Form
- Student Applied Learning Agreement
- Proof of Liability Insurance

If there are any special requirements, please provide the information below. Standard information regarding visas will be entered for the program.
If your college is outside of the United States and not accredited by a U.S. Regional Association of Colleges and Schools, we REQUIRE that you use an evaluation service that does a "course by course" evaluation to ensure that your transcript is evaluated properly. The follow three services are required.
